TAMPA - The Quorum Hotel in the West Shore business district will be renamed May 26 as the Wyndham Tampa Westshore.

The change marks a return of the upscale Wyndham brand to the Tampa Bay area. Quorum Hotels and Resorts of Dallas will continue to manage the 272-room hotel and keep the current managers and staff.

The property, previously a Crowne Plaza, was the first hotel with the Quorum brand. Two Tampa hotels - the Westin Tampa Harbour Island and InterContinental Tampa in West Shore - previously carried the Wyndham name.
