TAMPA - Construction workers of all stripes are encouraged to show up from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at a job fair for the future Encore development.

Representatives of ZMG Construction of Longwood, a partner in the project, will meet with job candidates, including general laborers, skilled laborers, project managers, foremen and site supervisors. Candidates are asked to bring resumes, licenses, certificates and qualifications statements.

The fair will be at the Encore construction site at Cass Street and Nebraska Avenue, between downtown Tampa and Ybor City.

Encore is a major redevelopment effort that could create housing for more than 1,700 people and feature a hotel, offices, a grocery store and other facilities. The project is expected to generate thousands of construction jobs. Information about the job fair is available at www.zmgencore.com.
