A new upscale hotel and spa in Clearwater is nearly ready to open after years of construction.

The Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa is scheduled to open Monday with 250 suites on the community's half-mile Beach Walk.

All suites have kitchens and private balconies overlooking the Gulf.
