Case Shiller shows Tampa Bay price stability since spring 2009

Though Tampa Bay home prices slipped a bit from October to November, they've pretty much stayed the course since April 2009, according to the S&P Case-Shiller home price index.

I've hammered this point before, but Case-Shiller, for all its Wall Street sophistication, shows the same price decline, to within a point, as Florida Realtors.

Both indexes show Tampa housing values plunging 42 percent since peak.

Tampa Bay home price declined 13.2 percent from Nov. 2008 to Nov. 2009 and 0.4 percent from Oct. 2009 to Nov. 2009.
