Pasco County is moving its foreclosure auctions from the courthouse to the Internet. The county will hold its first Web site auction on Monday and phase out on-site sales by Dec. 15.

The new online auction site, www.pasco.realforeclose.com, will save money and broaden the pool of potential buyers, the county said.

This year, Pasco has held 1,629 foreclosure sales. Most of the properties - 1,472 of them - were taken back by the lenders. Monday's online auction is scheduled for 11 a.m. and will include 20 cases. There are 31 properties to be auctioned Tuesday and 24 Wednesday.
